Bubble Bead
Filters boasts a non-corrosive food grade polyethylene plastic construction
with no mechanical parts to service except the blower unit. These filters are
designed for pressurized applications operating with swimming pool pumps
providing high volumes of flow. However with the BBF you require a pump size
down from operating a swimming pool sand filter, resulting in a cost saving on
electricity.
The BBF in
essence operate like an upside-down swimming pool sand filter, but instead of
using sand, plastic beads are used. The plastic beads are floating at the top
to form a packed bed of floating media.
The BBF is
compact and easy to install, supply exceptional solids removal as well as
biological filtration. The filter is easy to maintain with a simple backwash
procedure and low water loss during the backwash procedure. Backwash procedure
will vary among individual applications and seasons.
Bubble Bead
Filters are available in two sizes suitable for pond volumes of 2 000 litre up
to 30 000 litre.

biological filtration in a single unit. The BBF requires far less space than
